Hi, my name is William Plam and I'm the one who started the company over twenty years ago. Long before that, I was a sidecar enthusiast. My father was in the Danish Army during World War II and during his service time, he rode a Nimbus. With fond memories of this fine machine and with a keen interest in motor vehicles, my dad bought a Nimbus in Copenhagen and brought it home to the States back when I was in high school. Having ridden bikes since I was very small, I took to the Nimbus instantly and soon became proficient at maneuvering that rig. Years later, my interests turned to BMW Motorcycles and with one thing leading to another, I ended up in the motorcycle business. Over the past almost two decades, I have watched the events concerning URAL with great interest. My attraction to URAL is easily explained by my love of both sidecars and boxer-powered motorcycles.

Along with our BMW business, we import Wunderlich BMW accessories from Germany. In order to promote those accessories, we have attended many IMS shows around the USA over the past couple of years, as has URAL. During the first year of the show circuit, I had to stop by the Ural booth every time to get a fix. It was during this time that we decided to add URAL to the fold. This has proven a wise move for us mainly because of the excitement and fun that we have been able to spread around and enjoy ourselves. Ural dealers and enthusiasts are unique individuals and we believe that we can contribute to the success of URAL by combining our experience as a motorcycle dealer with our passion for the attributes of the URAL.
